Shine! is about the shaping of the new woman in this post-modern world.
We believe that the new woman is no longer concerned about her physical looks – her size and figure, her skin color, her curly or too straight hair, her slanted or almond shaped eyes, her thick or thin lips and her wardrobe. The new woman is no longer focused on her career outside her home, she doesn’t depend on her earthly assets or her bank account. The new woman has reformed, by God’s grace!
Today, the new woman of this age is the one whose eyes are evermore trained on the God that she serves. By God’s mercy and grace, the manual of her life is the Bible, and the Gospel is her strength and riches. The new woman knows and works it in her heart to learn how to submit to her husband, to prioritize her spiritual life, she feeds her family with the Word of God and she is happy, content and blessed with what she has. She is the woman with a gentle and quiet spirit, and faith that is unshakable because it is deeply rooted to Jesus Christ.
Truth be told, it is quite difficult to define the new woman in very few sentences. It varies for every person, depending on her status in life – single, married, widowed, grandparent, divorced, etc. Yet, when you meet her, she is unmistakable. The new woman is the one who knows and serves the One and True Living God, the God of the Bible, the one who strives everyday to keep His statutes. No, she is not perfect, far from it, but her goal is to be Christ-like.
